Rachael Irene and Charles Holman Deriso

Miss Rachael Irene Denham and Dr. Charles Holman Deriso were united in marriage in a private outdoor ceremony on July 9, 2011 at 6:30 in the evening at Navarre Beach in Navarre, Florida with Reverend Duane Jenkins officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Jennifer Denham of Leesburg, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Gurien of Troy, Tennessee, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Howard of Sylvester, Georgia and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Denham of Leesburg, Georgia. The groom is the son of Sonny and Judy Deriso of Albany, Georgia. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Charles M. Holman of Albany, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Deriso, Sr. of Newnan, Georgia.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory gown accented with Victorian lace and a silk ivory sash around the waistline. A cream colored flower in her hair complimented the combined bouquet of cream day lilies, pink calla lilies and cascading ivy.

The wedding party included the groom’s three sons, Charles Holman (9), Carter James (7) and Jackson Everett (then 5). Holman and Carter played an excellent role as ring bearers and Jackson provided all of the guests with bird seed sachets from a woven basket before the ceremony began. The couple recited traditional vows as well as their own personally written vows.

The reception was held at a local beachside restaurant. Following their honeymoon to the Western Caribbean, the couple resides in Leesburg, Georgia.
