Crash victim’s name released

Edgar O’Dell Cole Jr., 60, who resided in Mitchell County, but had an Albany Address, died after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after he lost control of his black Dodge Ram pickup on Moultrie Road at Pecan Lane and ran off the road into a ditch.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene,” said Emma Quimbly, Dougherty County coroner.
