Chamber wins national communications award

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is a recipient of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives’ Award for Communications Excellence (ACE).

The chamber’s Business Magazine received a Bronze Award.

Chambers receiving the ACE Bronze Award have “exceeded the fundamental standards and criteria for communications excellence,” according to the selection criteria.

“There is truly exceptional communications work being done in the chamber profession, and ACCE is proud to recognize these achievements,” said ACCE President Mick Fleming.

“We are so proud of the quality of work that our Chamber staff does. They are an exceedingly creative and innovative group of hard working professionals that want to make Albany and our member businesses shine,” said Catherine Glover, president/CEO of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.

“This is the third year in a row the (Albany) Chamber has received the Award for Communications Excellence, so I am exceptionally proud,” Glover said. “The magazine is not only a source of community information but pride in how the Albany community is showcased.”

The Awards for Communication Excellence (ACE), now in its 28th year, is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in all areas of communications. This year, the ACE competition drew 83 entries from chambers throughout the U.S. Winners were recognized earlier this month at the annual ACCE convention in Los Angeles.
