ALBANY, Ga. — A 53-year-old man was found dead after the mobile unit he was in caught fire.
The Albany Fire Department was called to the scene of 2608 Oak View Street by the Dougherty County Police Department in reference to the fire at around 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Assistant Fire Chief Allen Cravey said that it was a small fire that had self-extinguished. The deceased was identified as Harry Bear.
The cause of the fire, as well as Bear’s cause of death, is under investigation, Cravey said Monday. More information is expected to available as the investigation progresses.
The DCPD is the lead agency involved with the investigation.
