ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 24 incidents Tuesday, according to department records.

Police responded to:

— Domestic Violence Unfounded on the 600 block of North Washington Street, the 1800 block of Keystone Avenue, the 2300 Glen Eagles Drive and the 600 block of South Maple Street;

— Gas Theft on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Burglary on the 2000 block of North Riverview Circle, the 1700 block of Cromartie Beach Road, the 600 block of South Shadowlawn Drive;

— Entering Auto on the 2100 block of East Broad Avenue, the 400 block of Bush Street;

— Theft on the 1900 block of South Riverview Circle, the 900 block of South Davis Street;

— Interference with Government Property on the 1600 block of Jean Avenue;

— Missing Person on the 1900 block of South Riverview Circle;

— Lost property on the 100 block of Dobbs Drive;

— Criminal Trespass on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;

— Recovered Property on the 800 block of North Jackson Street;

— Simple Battery on the 1700 block of Fir Lane;

— Unruly Child on the 1700 of West Whitney Avenue;

— Threats on the 400 block of North Davis Street;

— Wanted Person on the 2000 block of Whispering Pines Road.

Dehumidifier sets house ablaze

A short-circuited dehumidifier caught fire Tuesday and caused $13,000 in damage to home at 2401 Pendleton Street, according to the Albany Fire Department.

Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, units responded and extinguished the fire, which originated in a crawl space under the house.

Fire set on 5th Avenue

A person with an altered mental status is believed to have set a fire at a home at 618 5th Avenue Tuesday night that caused an estimated $64,000 in damages, according to the Albany Fire Department.

According to the report, fire officials responded to a report of a fire at the home and found fire in the bedroom and bathroom hallway. The house sustained smoke damage throughout and is believed to have been set intentionally by someone with "altered mental status."
