I guess they would rather have a fancy car than feed their family... and if you think about it, people will donate food, but not fancy cars... so maybe they are on to something there.

I see them with $90,000 vehicles. I just don't get it.

They can pay for that nice vehicle because that is the only bill that they pay!! Free rent, utilities, food, health care, phone service - you name it!!!! ALSO, it's not just the food stamps that they are scamming! Most of these type of people (LAZY WITH NO SELF WORTH) also get a social security disability check for their kids!!! If you neglect a baby and never interact with it or do drugs while you are pregnant you will most likely have a baby with learning disabilities!! They get the baby tested and start receiving a monthly check for it!!! That is how they pay for the nice ride - everything for free and a disability check to pay the car note!!!!!

Exactly correct! When all expenses are paid by the public trough, a car is not so hard to pay for, Ride through any of the new projects--the cars you see are likely better than yours.

Ah, Albany, the Good Life City...thieves, liars, meth labs, and bigots.

Opps...seems like most of the Meth Labs and grow houses are found in Lee County.

Until yesterday!! But the drug business does seem to be going well for the white poor who are also abusing the system with fraudulent claims for assistance.

Those are your tax dollars at work here in the USA, just think about your tax dollars spent in Iraq and who benefited by your dollars it sure was not our dead sons and daughters...

Being thrifty is how they saved up the money for that Escalade. Wouldn't have anything to do with abusing the system, or robbing, or dealing. Thrifty is getting a free lunch whenever it is offered. I just hope those members of Law Enforcement wrote down the license numbers of those luxary cars. Many years ago, you could spot dealers by their Ride, Bling and Attire. Now, I believe that is called profiling, but we won't go there.

How about this for a blog topic: Do you think Wall Street executives who nearly collapsed the world financial markets and required U.S. tax payers to bail them out should receive millions of dollars in bonuses? Or Do you think it is fair for bank executives to swindle billions of dollars from hard working American, yet NEVER be prosecuted. Oh, wait a minute, these are white collar crimes that cost far more in US tax dollars than someone getting foodstamps...

Sounds like you need to Occupy something.

hahahahaha. Trix, you made my morning! Love the comment. Black_Falcon, you are comparing apples to oranges. Foodstamps are just a drop in the bucket. Most abusing foodstamps are also abusing the system in other ways. And by the time you let soooo many do it, it probably does add up to millions/billions of dollars. Especially when most families have generations after generations following in the "family business".
