ALBANY ALBANY — Former police officer Amos Charles Wallace was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on two counts of child molestation, according to a Dougherty County Police Department report.
“Amos Wallace formerly worked for the Albany Police Department and the Albany State University Police Department,” said county police Capt. Jim Sexton.
According to Albany campus police Chief John Fields Jr., Wallace resigned from the Albany Police Department and was fired from his department at Albany State University several years ago.
The report added that Wallace said he was in the process of applying to the Dawson Police Department for a job. No one at the Dawson department was immediately available to confirm or deny the report Wednesday.
According to the DCPD report, following an 11 a.m. complaint about the molestation of a 9 year old, county police responded to the 200 block of Virginia Avenue. The investigators determined that there was enough evidence to arrest and charge Wallace.
Wallace was in the Dougherty County Jail on Wednesday with no bond set, a jail spokeswoman said.

His being a former Officer doesn't have anything to do with this, so why even mention it?
