ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department responded to at least 60 incidents Saturday and Sunday. The reports included:
-- Domestic dispute (unfounded) on the 1700 block of West Oakridge Drive and on the 1000 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;
-- Assault on the 1900 block of West Broad Avenue;
-- Simple battery (two counts) on the 1000 block of Moultrie Road;
-- Burglary on the 600 block of Florence Drive and on the 300 block of South Jackson Street;
-- Possession of alcohol by a minor on the 2800 block of Sylvester Road;
-- Deceased person on the 200 block of East Road;
-- Battery on the 100 block of Force Drive and on the 4000 block of Gillionville Road;
-- Criminal trespass on the 1200 block of Towering Pines Lane and on the 1300 block of South McKinley Street;
-- Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 1800 block of West Third Avenue;
-- Disorderly conduct on the 200 block of Slater King Drive and on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;
-- Theft by taking on the 1700 block of Northwood Drive and on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;
-- Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
-- Recovered property on the 1700 block of Gary Avenue;
-- Contempt of municipal court warrant on the 800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
-- Driving under the influence on the 100 block of Liberty Expressway;
-- Entering auto on the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue;
-- Assault (domestic violence) on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;
-- Wanted person on the 200 block of South Monroe Street;
-- Shoplifting warrant on the 2100 block of Rosebrier Avenue;
-- Aggravated assault on the 300 block of West Highland Avenue. Officers were dispatched at 2 a.m. Sunday to the Southside Poolroom in reference to a large fight. The report indicated that there were knifes involved and that two arrests were made.
-- Driving with an expired license on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue;
-- Unruly child on the 1400 block of East Second Avenue;
-- Stalking, simple battery on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 16 calls Sunday. The incidents included:
-- Traffic arrest on the 2900 block of Sylvester Road;
-- Burglary (residence) on the 3700 block of Old Mill Road;
-- Robbery (force)/wanted person on the 600 block of Sapling Lane.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to 16 calls Saturday and Sunday. The reports included EMS assistance, an animal rescue, a power line down and a smoke odor.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty EMS responded to 62 calls Sunday. There were 50 medical calls, 10 trauma calls and two "other" calls. The 50 medical calls consisted of nine for chest pain, 10 for respiratory issues, two for faintings, one for a diabetic issue, one for a seizure, one for mental health, five for miscellaneous pain, one for an allergic reaction, one for a cardiac arrest and 19 various medical calls.
The 10 trauma calls consisted of four for auto accident victims, five falls and one fight. The "other" calls were for two back-up units.
