Handprint Project looks to stop domestic violence

ALBANY, Ga. — Men are being called to come to several locations to pledge against domestic abuse by officials with Liberty House, a shelter for the physical and emotionally abused in Southwest Georgia.

“Focused on men, this project is a way for men to join the dialogue about violence against women,” said Silke Deeley, the organization’s executive director. “Make a pledge to not commit or condone violence and seal the pledge by placing your handprint and name on a display board.”

“The Handprint Project” is scheduled for Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at five locations. Further information is available by calling (229) 439-7094.

– Turner Job Corps Center, 2000 Schilling Ave.
