The Flint River Chapter of the American Red Cross reports the following activities for January:
-- Responded to 11 house fires and provided emergency assistance to 48 people
-- Handled 30 Armed Forces cases
-- Taught Community CPR and First Aid to 25 people
-- Went to four businesses to teach 67 employees CPR and First Aid
-- Re-certified 17 people in CPR
-- Held 12 blood drives and collected 608 units of blood
-- Participated in one health fair
The Flint River Chapter serves Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Dougherty, Early, Lee, Macon, Miller, Randolph, Schley, Sumter, Terrell, Webster and Worth counties. Contact (229) 436-4845.
