BAINBRIDGE -- Make that 21 in a row.

The Herald No. 1 Bainbridge boys basketball team won its 21st straight game Wednesday night with a 66-43 rout of Houston County in its 1-AAAA tournament opener.

Herald Super 6er Devon Baulkmon scored 23 points, while Rodney Glenn chipped in 14 as the Bearcats overcame shooting just two free throws all game -- compared to 25 shot by Houston -- to still win running away.

Bainbridge (24-2), which is hosting this week's tournament, now advances to the semifinals Friday against Northside, Warner Robins at 8:30 p.m.

The Trojans were down by only six points at halftime after leading most of the first half, before eventually unraveling to end their season at 3-21.

"I told the kids after the game that I was proud of them hanging through this tough season -- through thick and thin," third-year coach Tim McPherson said. "The record is not what we wanted it to be, sure, but we played hard and we improved. I'm excited about next year."

Lee loses five seniors -- Chris Tucker, Tanner Stone, Marktez Tyson, Sidney Bailey and Austin Bullard.

Travian Bryant led Lee with 12 points, while Michael Leak, Stone and Tyson each had eight.
