ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 44 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Sexual battery on the 500 block of Mercer Avenue;
-- Burglaries on the 100 block of North Cleveland Street, the 600 block of Corn Avenue, the 1900 block of West Waddell Avenue and the 1000 block of North Cedar Avenue;
-- Theft, receiving stolen property, a dog, on the 1100 block of 10th Avenue;
-- Aggravated assault on the 1400 block of East Lincoln Avenue;
-- Recovered property, a bag of green leafy substance, on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;
-- Theft by taking on the 1000 block of Flint Avenue;
-- Entering auto on the 2200 block of Whispering Pines Road;
-- 911 hang-up led to the seizure of a handgun on the 600 block of Sands Drive;
-- Disorderly conduct, a fight, on the 600 block of Bonnyview Drive;
-- Simple battery on the 700 block of South Cleveland Avenue;
-- Missing juvenile on the 200 block of Central Street;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 600 block of West Broad Avenue;
-- Vandalism, larceny (family violence), on the 700 block of Pine Avenue;
--Assault (family violence) on the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue;
-- Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue, the 600 block of Sands Drive, the 2200 block of Habersham Road, the 1300 block of Radium Springs Road and the 1600 block of Sunny Lane;
-- Robbery by force (family violence) on the 700 block of West Gordon Avenue;
-- Assault (family violence) on the 1600 block of Sunny Lane.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least two calls Wednesday, according to reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
-- Wanted person on the 200 block of Donald Road;
-- Disorderly conduct, an oral fight on the 100 block of West Century Road.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 10 calls Wednesday, including a fire drill, fire safety program, assist disabled resident, false alarm, storage shed fire, electric short in water heater, two controlled burns, a grass fire and an EMS assist.
