BAINBRIDGE --- Can you smell what the Bearcats are cookin'?

Try another 20-game winning streak like they put together last year en route to the Final Four.

Well, Friday's eighth straight kept that hope alive as Class AAAA Bainbridge routed AAAAA Colquitt County, 84-42, at home.

Herald Super 6er Devon Baulkman, who has The Herald's No. 2-ranked team to an 11-2 start, scored all 18 of his points in the first half including

three monstrous dunks as his team made easy work of the Packers.

Shawn Samuels chipped in with 13 pointsfor Bainbridge, followed by Rodney Glenn with 12.

Bainbridge will be on the road against Lincoln (Fla.) in Tallahassee in its next game today.

EARLY BOYS 52, FITZGERALD 43:

Jacori Taylor led Early with 14 points and Ladonis Yarbrough chipped in

with 10 as Early got the win to improve its record to 6-3 overall.

"We looked pretty good," said Randy Isom. "But we have to figure out

how to stay focused for 32 minutes."

Early will host Miller County next Tuesday.

SGA BOYS 64, CITIZEN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 57:

Parker Adams had an amazing game for SGA with 28 points in the win, but it wasn'teven his season high -- he poured in 35 earlier this year.

McKinley Chambless added 21 points of his own for SGA as they improved its their record to 9-2 overall and a perfect 2-0 in region play. SGA began the game on 18-3 run before Citizen Christian stormed back only to fall short.

"We looked good," said SGA coach David Byrne, who is

preparing his team to host Calvary Christian today

WESTWOOD BOYS 71, RANDOLPH SOUTHERN 44:

Mason Jones had a big game with 22 points and John Vereen and Mason Worshom added 10 points each for Westwood in the win. After being slightly ahead at halftime (37-30), Westwood out scored Randolph

Southern, 34-14, to close the game. Westwood improves to 5-7 overall and 1-0 in the region. Westwood will travel to Brookwood on Monday.

CALHOUN GIRLS 57, QUITMAN 39:

A solid 23 points from Brandy Buie was just Calhoun needed to upend Quitman.

Santana Ingram added 12 points for Calhoun and Kelsey Anderson rounded out the Lady Cougars' top scorers with 11. As a result of the win Calhoun improves to 8-5 on the season. Calhoun will look to keep the wins coming win they travel to face Stewart County today.

RANDOLPH-CLAY BOYS 68, WEBSTER 63:

Despite a game-high 23 points from Dominique Pollard, Webster still

found themselves on the short end of the stick in this game. Tim

Stringer-Davis scored a team-high 22 points for Randolph-Clay and

Cardaryle Curry chipped in with 15 more to help Randoplh improve to

10-4 overall.

Randolph-Clay will host Quitman in its next games on Tuesday.

CALHOUN BOYS 98, QUITMAN 46:

Vincent Powell was on dominant in this game on his way to scoring a

game-high 29 points. DeShawn Jordan chipped in 18, followed by Raishun Anderson with 16 for Calhoun who as a result of the win improve to 11-2 overall.

Calhoun will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Stewart

County

APPLING CHRISTIAN 47, BYNE GIRLS 41:

Heather Horne dropped 14 points for the Lady Saints, who found themselves on the wrong end of this game which was decided by late game free-throws. With the loss Byne falls to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the region. It will travel to Valdosta to take on Open Bible Christian on Tuesday.

BYNE BOYS 70, APPLING CHRISTIAN 66:

In a game that was back and forth from the start, Byne got huge games

from Casey Sanders, who finished with a team-high 24 points as well as Joshua Hughes, who added 23 points of his own in the win. Robbie Smith also contributed in Byne's win with 18 points. The win improved Byne to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in the region.

Byne will look to keep up its winning way when they travel to Open Bible Christian on Tuesday.

TERRELL ACADEMY GIRLS 55, VALWOOD 11:

This game was over before it even started as Alex Barfield led Terrelll

Academy with a game-high 19 points. The win pushes Terrell Academy's record to 10-3 overall and 1-1 in the region.

"We played a lot of man to man defense and we did a great job of

keeping pressure on the ball," said Terrell Academy coach Keith Jones.

Terrell Academy will next be in action Tuesday at Fullington.

WESTWOOD GIRLS 85, RANDOLPH SOUTHERN 31:

Virginia Vereen poured in a game-high 26 points for Westwood in the

blowout win.

"Vereen was super hot, especially in the first half," said Westwood coach Jenni Smith. "We just really jumped on them hard at the

beginning of the game."

Sydnee Smith added 12 points for Westwood, which improves Westwood to 9-7 overall. Westwood will be on the road in its

next game at Brookwood School on Monday.

AMERICUS-SUMTER GIRLS 49, CRISP COUNTY 45:

Herald Super 6er Jayme Gilbert led the way with a 20-point night as the Herald No. 3 Lady Panthers improved to 9-2 and won a big Region 1-AAA game on the road. Americus -Sumter is now 2-1 in the region race, just behind Westover (3-0).

CRISP COUNTY BOYS 58, AMERICUS-SUMTER 45:

Brandon White led Americus-Sumter with 13 points, but Crisp bounced back from a tough loss to Dougherty on Tuesday to win the Region 1-AAA game. Americus-Sumter is now 4-7 and 0-3 in the region race. Crisp County is 1-2 in the region.
