The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a $12,500 reward for information on the killings of three whooping cranes in Calhoun County.
The annoucement was sent to The Herald via e-mail this afternoon.
The cranes were found and reported by hunters in the area on Dec. 30. Last week, officials confirmed that they had died from gunshot wounds.
Any information concerning the deaths of the cranes should be provided by calling (404) 763-7959.
