ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 18 incidents Wednesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Armed robbery: A man reported being held up at gunpoint on the 400 block of South Van Buren Street. No injuries were reported;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 100 block of Swaggott Road;
-- Criminal trespass: Two incidents reported on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;
-- Theft by taking a bicycle on the 700 block of Highland Avenue;
--Simple assault on the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue;
-- Battery on the 600 block of Tift Avenue;
-- Burglary on the 900 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;
-- Thefts by taking on the 1200 block of Whispering Pines Road and the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;
-- Domestic disturbance on the 2400 block of Gillionville Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 57 calls on Wednesday. There were 45 medical calls, nine trauma calls and three other calls. Medical calls included one person with chest pains, three respiratory problems, three diabetic complaints, three seizures, three mental problems, four miscellaneous pain calls and 29 various medical calls. Trauma calls included three vehicle crash injuries, four falls, one laceration and one fight/assault.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least seven calls Wednesday, according to reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
-- Entering auto on the 100 block of Pelham Drive;
-- Traffic, vehicle made entry onto a closed bridge on the Smithville Bypass, the 300 block of U.S. 19.
-- Criminal trespass on the 200 block of Flowing Well Road;
-- Disorderly conduct on the 100 block of Endoline Drive;
-- Traffic stop on the 3000 block of Ledo Road.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to six calls Wednesday, including two alarm activations, overheated wall receptacle, transformer arcing, fire in a barrel and smoke smell in a residence.
