Police/Fire/EMS - Jan. 19, 2011

ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 15 incidents Monday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- A driver ran away leaving a 1999 Dodge Caravan on the 2500 block of South Washington Street after a stop for going through a stop sign on the 400 block of Gaines Avenue. The van was towed and impounded.

-- Burglary on the 900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Entering auto on the 300 block of Pine Avenue and the 900 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Disorderly conduct, a fight on the 800 block of Willie Pitts Jr. Road;

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 1200 block of North Slappey Boulevard. The vehicle was recovered on the 1100 block of Colquitt Avenue and three suspects were taken into custody;

-- Theft by conversion on the 3900 block of Radner Forest lane, the victim refused to prosecute;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 1400 block of Palmyra Road, the 300 block of South Mock Road and the 700 block of Bobbitt Avenue.

LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least eight calls, according to police reports.

Deputies responded to incidents including:

-- Wanted person on the 1500 block of South U.S. 19 and on Georgia Highway 3 at Skylark Drive;

-- Recovered property on the 1400 block of South U.S. 19;

-- Criminal trespass on the 1500 block of South U.S. 19;

-- Two cases of theft with property recovered on the 2800 block of Ledo Road;

-- Stalking and harassing communication on the 100 block of Donald Road;

-- Disorderly conduct, indecent exposure on the 100 block of Century Road.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 47 calls from Friday through Monday including:

-- Broken water pipe, eight activated alarms, four grass fires, three trash fires, a bomb threat, three false alarms a grease fire, four electrical shorts, two unauthorized burning, three smoke odors reported, two kitchen fires, a dog house fire, three gas odors reported, two animal rescues of a cat in a tree, mutual aid with Valdosta, vehicle aid, four EMS assists, two water leaks and a vehicle crash.
