Girl Scouts group looking for members
ALBANY -- The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is conducting a membership drive 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church, 400 Pine Ave., Albany.
The cost of joining the organization is $12.
Activities the Girl Scouts group has planned for coming months include STEM (Science, Technology, English and Math) Facilitator Training -- Aquatic Adventures on March 12 for senior and ambassador members; Twilight Mystery at OKIT March 18-20 for cadette, senior and ambassador members, and an overnight outdoor rock climbing with AMGA certified instructors on April 2-3 for Scouts ages 8 and older.

Barbershop singers start rehearsals
ALBANY -- The Southwest Georgia Barbershop Chorus will start conducting rehearsal sessions 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Darton College Choral Room (Building F, Room 115), 2400 Gillionville Road.
