AMERICUS -- The Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes, ranked No. 21 in the nation, knocked off North Georgia, 69-60, on Wednesday night to improve to 12-3 overall and 5-1 in the Peach Belt Conference.
Trayce Macon and Colin Slotter combined to make 15 of 20 shots from the field to lead the way. Macon scored 21 points, hitting 7-of-10 shots from the field, and Slotter dropped in 20, going 8-for-10.
GSW next plays at Columbus State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Lady Hurricanes fell to North Georgia, 74-60, despite a big night from Jessica Bivins, who scored 17 points. They are now 8-7 overall and 2-4 in the PBC play. They play next at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Columbus State.
