Former President Jimmy Carter is not scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.
EVENTS
Evangelistic Temple Church will host its Fellowship Union Service at 11 a.m. Sunday. The church is located at 1210 E. Roosevelt St.
Arcadia Missionary Baptist Church is changing dates of operation for its Soup Kitchen. Beginning in February, the Soup Kitchen will be open the second and fourth Wednesday of each month instead of every Wednesday. The Rev. Jimmie O. Hall, Arcadia's assistant executive minister, said a sermon will continue to be delivered each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. The church is located at 1214 N. Jackson St.
Emanuel SDA Church will host its annual fundraiser musical extravaganza on Feb. 26. The program will begin at 6 p.m. and feature various choirs, soloists and groups from the community. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken. The church is located at 1534 E. Broad Ave.
Mercedes Baptist Church will host a sing at 5:30 p.m. Sunday featuring The Searchers. The church is located at 2623 Moultrie Road.
