Michael Monahan of Albany has graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Monahan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Georgia in 2006. He is a 2002 graduate of Deerfield Windsor School in Albany. Monahan is the son of Thomas and Lorrie Monahan of Albany. He plans to enter the urological surgery program at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Mich.

J. Buckley Davis III graduated from Woodberry Forest School last month and received the William B. Mason Memorial Medal as best all-around senior athlete. The son of Dr. and Mrs. John B. Davis of Albany, he plans to attend the Univerisity of Georgia.

Andrew Clack of Albany has been named to the Dean's List for the 2011 spring term at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. The four-year liberal arts college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Kayano "Kay" W. Bell of Albany has been chosen as an honoree in the Valdosta State University College of Education's Adult and Career Education program. Bell was among the students who ranked highest in their programs. She was recently recognized for her achievements by VSU's Dewar College of Education.

James William Goodson of Albany has received a doctor of pharmacy degree and graduated from South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah. Goodson was among 87 members of the school's sixth graduating class of pharmacists.

Bria Alexandria Richardson of Albany has been selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars. She is a student at Westover Comprehensive High School.
