ALBANY, Ga. -- A woman arrested in a January homicide is scheduled to go on trial Monday, according to court papers.
Contravious Holman, 29, died from wounds he suffered to his neck when Ladiedra Judge, also 29, stabbed him during an argument, according to authorities.
The trial calendar states that Judge is accused of murder, voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault family violence and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
Albany Police Department officers responded to a call about an aggravated assault about 1 a.m. Jan. 16 at Pine Forest Apartments on the 500 block of Pinson Road. Holman was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
In criminal trials, a jury will be selected first. Then opening arguments from the prosecutor, in this case Matt Breedon, and the defense attorney, listed on the calendar as Nikki Bonner, will be heard.
Because the trial has yet to start, Breedon said he could not comment on the case.
