Verbal argument turns into aggravated assault

ALBANY -- What started out as a verbal altercation led to a gun being drawn on someone in southwest Albany during the weekend.

At 9:13 p.m. Sunday, an aggravated assault was reported to the Albany Police Department by Ollie Hall, 36.

"The victim stated that while standing in his yard, he saw the suspect traveling down the street towards him," stated an email sent to The Albany Herald by Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD. "He stated that the unknown male pulled up to his yard, pulled out a handgun and pointed the weapon at him.

"Afterwards, the suspect returned to his vehicle and drove off."

Banks added that Hall was involved in a verbal argument with the suspect prior to this incident. There was no suspect description available as of Monday afternoon.

The case remains under investigation.
