ALBANY, Ga. -- A shadowy masked figure who may or may not have been armed robbed a Sonic Restaurant employee making a deposit at an SB&T Bank at 1 a.m. Thursday, an Albany Police report stated.
"The victim told police that he was sitting in his car preparing to make the deposit when the suspect came over the driver's side of his vehicle and demanded the bank bag," said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman. "The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot."
The suspect made a gesture to the victim indicating he was armed, the report stated. But the victim did not see a weapon, police said.
The suspect left the bank at 2819 Old Dawson Road with an undetermined amount of cash, Banks said. A search by officers in the area did not turn up a suspect, she added.
