Armed robbery investigation continues

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Albany Police Department is looking for a black male who wore a block hoodie and red scarf while robbing an East Albany store Monday evening.

According to reports available from the APD, Hinaber Patel saw an unknown black male in his early 20's come into the Hanu Quick Stop on Johnson Road wearing a black jacket and hoodie as well as a red scarf over his mouth.

"She (Patel) stated that he was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register," stated an e-mail released by Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman with the APD. "The victim complied with the demands and gave him an undetermined amount of cash.

Initial reports of the incident gave a different description of the suspect, at which point he was thought to be wearing a red bandana over his face, a red shirt and a black jacket.

Authorities also now know that the suspect has a burn mark on his face. There were no reported injuries connected to the incident.
