ALBANY -- Wine Market 2011 to benefit Girls Inc. will take place on Saturday at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club.
Those attending will have more than 40 varieties of wine to taste. Wine distributors will be on hand to answer questions about wine consumption and cooking with wines. Vendors will be selling art, handmade jewelry, children's room decor, unique lamps and much more.
Returning this year are representatives of Destinations in Gardening who will give tips on landscaping and spring planting. Several foliage pieces will be available for sale.
Music will be playing through out the evening and a variety of cheese for tasting will be provided from Sweet Grass Dairy. Also offered will be a oyster bar.
"Wine Market is a fabulous way to network, meet new people and support a Girls Inc. program. All of the proceeds from the event support the research-based life skills programming of the organization," LaKisha Bryant, Girls Inc. director.
Those attending must be 21 years of age. Tickets may be purchased in advance from Girls Inc., Place on the Pointe and Bleeker Street Marketplace for $50 per person. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event for $60 per person.
