Solve a murder, have dinner too

ALBANY -- The Darton College Players will present a murder-mystery dinner theater at 7 p.m. March 18 at the Darton College Student Center.

The play "Murder at Cafe' Noir: A Comic Tribute to the Bogart Movies from the 1940s," is a dark comedy with laughs and suspense. The play will invite the audience to participate in order to solve the crime. Humphrey Bogart, one of the most famous actors from the 1940's, starred in several films of this genre, such as "The Maltese Falcon" and "The Big Sleep."

Director Deborah Liss-Green says the play will pay homage to the detective movies of the 1940s.

"We are planning an evening in the spirit of film noir, only lighter," said Liss-Green. "There will still be plenty of dark, desperate characters with shady backgrounds and illicit motives, but there will also be good food, song and lots of laughs. Even if you never heard of film noir, this play will please."

The tickets are $40 per person or $300 for a table of eight. The tickets include a three-course meal, open bar and admission to the show. Call (229) 317-6554 for more information. Tickets must be purchased by 5 p.m. March 18.
