ALBANY, Ga. -- The Alzheimer's Association will hold its 14th Annual Forget-Me-Not Golf Tournament Monday at Doublegate Country Club.
The yearly tournament is the local Alzheimer Association's second largest fund-raiser and will host a field of more than 100 golfers.
"This event is very important to us," the Alzheimer's Association's Regional Outreach Director Dan Phillips said. "The money we raise will help fund research and also allow us to provide programs and services to those living in south Georgia who are affected by Alzheimer's."
More than 200,000 Georgians suffer from the disease and the local association covers 35 counties in southwest Georgia.
The event will kick off with lunch from Outback at 11:30 followed by a clinic from PGA professional Sonny Skinner at 12:15. A shotgun start is scheduled for 1:00.
