ALBANY, Ga. -- Safety should be uppermost in the minds of those who choose to bear arms. To help people who find it necessary to arm themselves the Albany Police Department is offering its third firearm safety course.
There are a few seats available for the March 19, eight-hour class to be held in the Community Room of the Law Enforcement Center, 201 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.
The class, open to those above 21 years old, will cover basic handgun safety, legal issues and the skills necessary for using a handgun in self-defense.
