ALBANY, Ga.: A 19-year-old Albany man is in custody after police say that he was stabbed by a 20-year-old woman with a steak knife in an apparent domestic violence incident.
Daryl Collins, 19, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and battery for holding 20-year-old Jalisa Barnes against her will.
According to Albany Police Department Spokesperson Phyllis Banks, Barnes told police that when she arrived at her home at Westwind Apartments, Collins wouldn't let her leave.
She then grabbed a steak knife and, while defending herself, stabbed Collins in the arm, Banks said.
He was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment and is now being held at the Dougherty County Jail on a $12,200 bond.
