LEESBURG -- Lee County High School's Palladium Players will perform the musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" at over these next two weekends at Clay Auditorium, located on the high school campus.
The musical mystery by Rupert Holmes involves a loony Victorian musical troupe staging a flamboyant rendition of Charles Dickens' unfinished novel, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." The audience will vote on five worthy suspects and determine who the killer is. Therefore the "killer" in each show could be different.
"The fact that the ending can, and usually is, different each night is what makes the show so much fun," says director Dotty Davis.
Dotty Davis serves as artistic director and choreographer. Robby Davis is set designer and technical director, with assistance from Laura Ruckel. Kevin Blaise is the vocal director and stage manager is Lee High senior Jenna Luke.
The cast is comprised of talented students and adults from the community.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and March 24-26, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and children.
