ALBANY -- The Dougherty County Saddle Club ia welcoming former and new riders to show with the club for the upcoming season at 9 a.m. on Saturday at 2924 Lonesome Road in Albany.
The hunter/jumper arena and the performance arena will be starting at the same time.
There will be concession offered throughout the day and a bake sale that the youth supply. During the show a $1 raffle drawing will be pulled conducted. A consignment sale will also take place for riding attire and tack.
"We are hoping for more participation at our shows and have split the season into two sessions for our riders to make it easier to qualify for year end awards. We would like to see more of our community getting involved and sharing in our passion of horses. Even if you don't have a live horse, stick horses are encouraged." said Kateri Justice, DCSC president.
New this year is a show season split into two sessions. Spring session will be from March - June and Fall session will be from July - October.
Class fees will remain at $5 - $10 per class depending upon the class. All riders are welcome. No membership is necessary to participate.
All riders under age 18 and under must wear proper head gear both in and out of the arena. A show book with rules and class sheets are provided at the show and online.
