Attorneys are scheduled to give final arguments to the jury in the Marlina Von Hamilton murder case at 9 a.m. today.

Von Hamilton, 33, at the time of her October arrest is accused of fatally shooting her ex-husband, Christopher Donaldson, 32, in the groin and chest.

The prosecution’s case rests on two bullets fired from a semi-automatic pistol that were shot with malice not in self- defense, said District Attorney Greg Edwards.

The defense case is based on a battered woman’s self-defense against another beating and rape, said defense attorney Johnnie Graham.

After the jury hears the arguments, Superior Court Judge Willie Lockette will instruct it on the law in the case and then allow them to retire to deliberate the verdict.
