ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 15 incidents Thursday and into the early hours of Friday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Theft by taking on the 800 block of Dorsett Avenue and on the 200 block of Thornton Drive;
-- Aggravated assault (unfounded) on the 800 block of Cedar Avenue;
-- Deposit account fraud on the 1100 block of Baker Avenue;
-- Disorderly conduct, a fight on the 2500 block of Dawson Road;
-- Aggravated assault on the 800 block of Cedar Avenue;
-- Underage drinking on the 300 block of East Broad Avenue;
-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 1400 block of Edgerly Avenue and the 300 block of Hobson Street;
-- Assault (family violence) on the 100 block of Marie Road and the 100 block of East Road;
-- Domestic on the 700 block of Burke Avenue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 68 calls on Thursday. There were 52 medical calls, 13 trauma calls and three other calls. Medical calls included, three chest pains, eight respiratory problems, one faint, four diabetic complaints, one seizure, three obstetrics, three mental problems, two choking complaints, six miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 20 various medical. Trauma calls included six vehicle crash injuries, four falls, one lacerations and two fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 58 calls, including two cardiac arrests, 10 activated alarms, two cable lines down, seven grass fires, railroad cross tie on fire, three controlled burns, two structure fires, two EMS assists, smoke odor investigation, three vehicle crashes, two dispatched and recalled, two trash bin fires, dog rescued from air conditioner duct, trash can fire, two leaf piles on fire, a debris fire, false call from pay phone, three electrical problems, odor of gas, extract victim from vehicle crash for EMS, building materials burning, two trash in back yard fires, fire prevention program, unattended cooking and a search for a lost person.
