ALBANY -- If you're a member of the Albany High School graduating Class of 1966, Marcia Balfour Ekkizogloy, Vicki McGarity Riles and Becky Samford Geer are looking for you.
The three AHS Class of '66 classmates are putting the finishing touches on plans for the group's 45th reunion, which is planned for June 3-4 at the Chehaw Park Educational Center.
"We had a great time at the 40th reunion; everyone danced all night long and acted like our knees weren't hurting at all," Ekkizogloy said. "We're excited about getting back together again.
"We had our 40th reunion at Merry Acres, and we had so many people attend we couldn't all fit in the room we had rented and everyone spilled out into the parking lot. We've taken care of that for our 45th reunion, so everyone should come prepared to have a great time."
Classmates will register and gather for a meet-and-greet Friday. Food (hors d'oeurves) and drink will be served as classmates swap tales from the past. Events are planned for Saturday as well, with the highlight being the dance featuring Macon's Grapevine Band.
Kay Blaylock is catering Saturday's gathering, and guests will be able to enjoy a cash bar.
Those who haven't registered for the reunion may get additional information on the AHS Class of '66 Reunion Facebook page. Ekkizogloy may be contacted at email@example.com or by calling (229) 347-5552.
