ALBANY -- A Bunko tournament fundraiser will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at Austin's BBQ & Oyster Bar, 2820 Meredyth Drive.
The first "Play Bunko - Battle Cancer," event is hosted by the Southwest Georgia Cancer Coalition. Food and drinks will be served at 6 p.m. The games will begin at 7 p.m.
"You need not have played Bunko before to join in the fun." says Amanda Williams, Cancer Coalition Development Coordinator. "There will be plenty of people on hand to teach you the game."
One hundred percent of the proceeds stay in Southwest Georgia to support the Coalition's cancer programs. In addition to the game, people can participate in the silent auction and purchase $1 raffle tickets. Entertainment throughout the evening will be by Cole Taylor on acoustic guitar.
