ALBANY, Ga. - The Herald has learned that The Anchorage Executive Director Kenny Phillips has been dismissed from his position at the men's addiction rehabilitation center.
Anchorage Executive Committee Chairman Skylar Martin confirmed the firing Friday afternoon.
"We dismissed Kenny Phillips late last week and that's all I'm going to say about it," Martin said.
Martin refused to give a reason for Phillips' dismissal.
Martin said that day-to-day operations of the center were currently being conducted by "a couple of members of the executive committee."
Phillips had been The Anchorage's executive director since 2004.
