TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Area families will have an opportunity to visit the island of Sodor and its most famous inhabitants here Thursday when Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends make a stop at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.
The 90-minute live touring stage show "Thomas Saves the Day" will feature Thomas and his friends Percy, Diesel, Troublesome Trucks, Harold the Helicopter and the other well-known citizens of Sodor.
Created by a father for his son, Thomas & Friends has been the No. 1 preschool toy brand in America for nine consecutive years. Families in more than 100 countries enjoy fun and adventure with their friends in Sodor while experiencing timeless life lessons of discovery, friendship and cooperation.
The popular television series airs on PBS KIDS and PBS KIDS Sprout.
In their Tallahassee appearance, Thomas and his friends will use railroad-themed songs to tell the story of the friends working together as "Really Useful Engines" to get the railroad ready for Sodor's Magic Lantern Festival. There will be enough adventures along the way to keep kids of all ages entertained.
