LEESBURG, Ga. -- Two Leesburg Primary School students received a happy surprise Wednesday when their soldier father, who had been deployed in Afghanistan for the past year, dropped in unexpectedly at the school.

Spc. Dontae Tinson, who was with the Army's 101st Airborne Division in Jalalabad since May of last year, surprised sons Dontae Jr., 7, and Markell, 5, in the school's library.

It was the first time Tinson, who returned to the States about two weeks ago, had seen his boys in more than seven months.

"The expression on their faces was priceless," Tinson, an Army petroleum supply specialist, said. "I'd been talking with them on the phone since I'd been deployed, but this was special."

Tinson, who'll have 10 days at home with his wife, Natashia, and their children before reporting to Fort Campbell, said he was nervous and overwhelmed with emotion before seeing his two sons again. He said that being home seemed "surreal," and that it would take a couple of days to get re-adjusted.

Tinson said he plans to take his family to Disney World while he's home.
