ALBANY, Ga. -- Wendy Martin, who once served as interim president/CEO of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce and has worked as vice president of public policy and communications since current chamber President/CEO Catherine Glover came on board in September of 2008, reportedly died late Thursday.
Martin, who worked extensively the past two years with the region's legislative delegation to promote issues of major concern to area businesses, succumbed to a long-term illness.
Details of Martin's funeral arrangements were not available at press time.
