The times and dates are set for the first pitches of the best-of-three GISA Class A and AAA State Championship series.
All that's left to do now is play ball.
The games feature three teams from Southwest Georgia -- Deerfield, Westwood and Crisp Academy. The Class AAA series between DWS and Westfield will begin Friday with Game 1 in Perry at 5:30 p.m. Game 2 will be played Saturday at 2 p.m., followed 40 minutes later by Game 3, if necessary.
Westwood vs. Crisp Academy in Cordele, meanwhile, will begin Thursday at 2 p.m. with Game 1, followed 40 minutes later by Game 2. Game 3, if necessary, will be played Friday at 1 p.m.
All four teams are very familiar with each other.
Region 3-A foes Westwood and Crisp split during the regular season but Crisp went on to win the region title, while Westwood finished second.
Westfield, meanwhile, swept DWS during the regular season, winning both games by one run.
This is both Westwood and Deerfield's first time in the state title series since 2008, while Crisp Academy finished runner-up a year ago to Citizen's Christian.
