Albany Mayoral Candidates B.J. Fletcher, Dorothy Hubbard and John White will be participating in a forum on WFXL Fox-31 beginning at 10 p.m.
The candidates are each campaigning to replace current Albany Mayor Willie Adams who will step down after his term expires in December.
The mayoral race is arguably the top draw for what is typically an off-year for elections. The mayor's race is joined on the ballot by contested races in wards II, IV and VI and two referendums -- one that focuses on the question of Sunday alcohol sales for city voters and one that would renew a one-percent sales tax for the Dougherty County School System for all voters in Dougherty County.

JOHN WHITE SAYS HE WILL OPEN A BOXING GYM TO HELP REDUCE CRIME. I'D PUT THAT IDEA ON PAR WITH ANOTHER LAME IDEA OF "MIDNITE" BASKETBALL SOME YEARS AGO. ANOTHER DO NOTHING PROGRAM AND A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, BUT THE CRIMINALS WILL BE BETTER EQUIPPED TO BEAT THEIR VICTIMS SENSELESS.
