ALBANY, Ga. — Marines and civilians from both MCLB Albany and Marine Corps Logistics Command will celebrate the 236th birthday of the Marine Corps with a cake-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday in front of Building 3500.
Maj. Gen. Charles Hudson, commanding general, LOGCOM, will provide remarks as well as Col. Terry V. Williams, commanding officer, MCLB Albany.
The ceremony will also include a uniform pageant, in which various Marines will wear Marine Corps uniforms that were prevalent throughout history. The Albany Marine Band will perform throughout the ceremony. Special guest of honor will be Master Sgt. (Ret.) Henry Jackson, an original Montford Point Marine.
