ALBANY Marines from Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany joined public safety officials and civilians for the Special Forces Run through Albany Tuesday.
Part of Operation One Voice -- an ongoing effort to raise awareness and support for the families and children of wounded or killed special operations forces from all of the U.S. military branches -- the "leap-frog" run goes through cities between Atlanta and Tampa, organizers say.
Tuesday, a contingent of special operators, Marines, public safety runners and civilians ran roughly 2.5 miles through Albany starting at the former theater on Gillionville Road and ending up at Veterans Amphitheater downtown.
