The CMA's two-time female vocalist of the year, Miranda Lambert will bring her "On Fire" Tour to the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center in February.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Riding the wave of her latest CD "Four the Record," country star Miranda Lambert is preparing to set venues across the country -- including the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center -- On Fire.
Lambert's "On Fire" tour will roll into Florida's capital city on Feb. 3, where she, Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann will perform. Lambert recently won her second consecutive CMA Female Vocalist of the Year award.
"I'm looking forward to the tour and playing some new music from 'Four the Record' and kicking some attitude," Lambert said in a release announcing the Tallahassee show. "Chris and Jerrod have great shows, and we're gonna have a lot of fun out there this year. It will be a great year with our fans."
Lambert's latest hit, "Baggage Claim," is in the upper reaches of the country music singles chart, taking its place alongside such hits as "The House That Built Me," "Gunpowder and Lead," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Only Prettier."
Young's hit "Tomorrow" from his No. 1 album "Neon" is the fourth consecutive chart-topping song for the rising artist, who was nominated for the New Artist of the Year CMA.
"I'm really fired up about touring with Miranda," he said. "I've admired her talent over the years, and I'm looking forward to spending the first part of 2012 on the road with her and Jerrod."
Niemann launched his major label debut album "Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury" with the No. 1 smash "Lover, Lover."
"Miranda is as real as it gets," he said. "I'm proud to be a fan and thankful to be a friend. I look forward to joining her tour and catching up with my good buddy Chris Young."
