Police/Fire/EMS report for Nov. 19, 2011

ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 40 incidents Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Financial transaction card theft on the 2400 block of Dawson Road and three counts on the 500 block of South Jefferson Street;

— Interference with officers on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

— Entering auto on the 800 block of Moultrie Road, the 2700 block of Dawson Road, the 700 block of Ninth Avenue, the 1700 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 700 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Simple battery on the 1400 block of South Jackson Street;

— Robbery by force on the 700 block of Holloway Avenue;

—Theft by taking on the 900 block of West Mercer Avenue, the 100 block of North Central Street and the 1100 block of Albany Court;

— Burglary on the 300 block of Carriage Lane, the 1300 block of Montego Court and the 1500 block of Evelyn Drive;

— Forgery, bad check on the 1300 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2500 block of Archwood Drive;

— Destruction of mailboxes on the 1600 block of Gordon Drive;

— Aggravated assault on the 1600 block of McArthur Street;

— Assault (domestic) on the 500 block of Willard Avenue and the 200 block of North Monroe Street;

— Domestic disturbance on the 400 block of Dorsett Avenue;

— Criminal trespass (domestic) on the 1000 block of East Fourth Avenue;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 1100 block of Wingate Avenue, the 3200 block of Strowbridge Road, the 1300 block of Hobson Street, the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue, the 1600 block of Cromartie Beach Drive and the 500 block of Odom Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 83 calls, including four public service presentations, nine trash fires, an area wash down, 20 activated alarms, three electric appliance shorts, eight false alarms, a smoking stove, three unattended cooking, a dog house on fire, five complaints of smoke in area, six vehicle crashes, seven grass fires, a gas leak, two broken water pipes, a duct fire, five EMS assists, overheated vehicle, two vehicle fires, a power line down, an air conditioner on fire and an animal rescue.
