ARCHERY, Ga. — Southwest Georgians who want to get a close look at President Carter’s boyhood home and begin their Christmas celebration will have an opportunity to do so Saturday.
The Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains is hosting the Jimmy Carter Boyhood Farm Christmas 2 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday in Archery.
Christmas activities will be located at various locations at the farm.
Inside Carter’s boyhood home, visitors can make homemade Christmas decorations for the home’s tree and learn what Christmas was like in the 1930s.
Hot apple cider will be served at the outside classroom.
Visitors at the Clark House will learn about Christmas for the tenant farm families.
There is no charge for the event. Call (229) 824-4104 for additional information.
