"I saw a young guy applying for a job that was wearing shower shoes (flip flops) and had about a three-, four-day growth of beard. No wonder he did not get the job. It seems like some people think not shaving for several days is fashionable, but they look like bums."

To continue to get free "unemployment checks" all you have to do is somehow demonstrate that you were trying to get a job. That's what you described, Squawker...somebody who was checking off a box on a form.

That or he is doing his thing for unemployment and doesn't want to be hired just yet because he still has benefits. I've seen that all to often, even had some confess that they were here for the check, and really didn't want the job.

This has been going on for years, these people would go to places that were least likely to hire them just so they could say they had been out looking for jobs.

He was wearing a "supersquawker" tee-shirt and plans on attending VSU after he collects more checks.
