ALBANY, Ga. — Among the calls that kept the Albany Police Department busy this weekend was an aggravated assault that took place in East Albany in which one woman threw a knife at another. The woman who threw the knife in turn had a hammer thrown at her.
The incident unfolded at 301 Bonnyview Ave. at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. There, the APD was called to the scene in reference to a fight and found that two women had been involved in a verbal altercation.
Police further stated that there were no injuries as a result of the incident. No charges were filed due to refusal to prosecute.
This was among roughly 100 incidents that the APD responded to from Saturday morning through early Monday.
