ALBANY, Ga. – The Golden Key Group from Albany State University made a donation Tuesday of toiletry items to Open Arms, a local child advocacy resource center.

The Golden Key Group has nearly 200 members and is a part of the International Honor Society.

“We’ve been given so much and just thought it was time to give a little something back to the community,” group spokesperson Tia Mallard said.

Open Arms provides resources for runaway, neglected, abused and homeless children, in addition to offering transitional services and street outreach for at-risk youth.

The organization currently is providing resources for 26 youths in two different areas.
