"Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity" is a special program at the Wetherbee Planetarium in Albany.
Albany The Thronateeska Heritage Center invites kids to come out and play during home school days from Thursday through Nov. 9 at the Thronateeska Heritage Center, 100 W. Roosevelt Ave. Each Wednesday, the program will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
Children in kindergarten through the 6th grade will take a look at the physics of motion and invisible energy that surrounds everyone. The program will explore why and how things work as children learn while experimenting, observing, identifying, describing, investigating and finding explanations for an ever-changing world.

Also during the month of October, the Fall Astronomy Series begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at Thronateeska Heritage Center, 100 W. Roosevelt Ave.
The doors for the event will open at 7 p.m. for ticket purchases and to see the science museum. The feature film “Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity” will begin at 7:15 p.m.
The main presentation, “Universal Oddballs” begins at 7:45 p.m. This presentation is about discovering some of the strangest and most mysterious objects in deep space.
After the film, a question-and-answer with the planetarium’s staff astronomer concludes the evening.
Admission is $3.50 per person or free for Thronateeska members and Darton College students with a current student I.D.
Program content is suitable for all ages.
